Our Story
The 2 Magpies is a labor of love of two nature enthusiasts & bird lovers Arif and Umbreen. Named after beautiful local birds of the region-Magpies (Ghasrep in Burushaski) that frequent the garden. It is a quiet, relaxing spot for a family vacation, a place to rejuvenate after mountain treks, or a quiet spot for painting, writing a book or your research paper . The charming wood huts located amongst trees facing mountains are just the right place for relaxation.
We are very proud to have won the Gender Climate Award (GCA) 2024 managed by the Civil Society Coalition for Climate Change (CSCCC) and supported by French Embassy, Embassy of UAE, EU and UNDP for our Climate friendly approaches towards hospitality
Where are we located
We are located in Aliabad, Hunza.
Aliabad is about 1.5 - 2 hrs from Gilgit and about 5 hrs from Skardu, the two cities with an airport in Gilgit Baltistan. The famous Baltit fort, Altit Fort, Ganesh village, Atabad lake, upper Hunza and Nagar valley are located within a short distance of 15 - 40 minutes.
There are several beautiful treks around the area. Ask our team for guidance.
